Bay engine removal and refit

Ok just bought a engine for my bay how hard is it to drop an engine out and refit the new one? took an engine out of a mk 1 escort i used to have done gearbox on the defender i just sold to replace the crack oil seal so not a total novice. but how you get anything done in that engine bay is beyond me will i have any skin left on my hands at the end of this am not so sure :fury:

Its a doddle. You just need a large jack to get the bus high enough. Disconect electrics. Carb, oil pressure switch, Starter etc. Then accelerator cable, Fuel line. Etc. Then theres 4 bolts for the front engine mount. Then 2 gearbox mount bolts above the gearbox. And 4 bolts round the bellhousing. Then out it pops. If you start now you should have it out in time for lunch. Apparently the record for getting one out is 4 mins! :D

Ok, I've never done it before either, but you're in prescot - I'm only in rainhill. I'm happy to lend an extra pair of hands if that helps...
